报告摘要:The interior polynomial and the exterior polynomial are generalizations of valuations on (x,1) and (1,y) of the Tutte polynomial T_G(x,y) of graphs to hypergraphs, respectively. The top of the HOMFLY polynomial of a special alternating link coincides with the interior polynomial of the pair of hypergraphs induced by the Seifert graph of the link.
In this talk, we will introduce these two polynomials, giving a detailed account of their definitions, their relations with the Tutte polynomial in graph theory and the HOMFLY polynomial in knot theory. Then we give a brief account of known results, our works on coefficients, tools and ideas used in the proofs, and so on. This is a joint work with Xiaxia Guan.

个人简介: 金贤安,厦门大学金沙集团wwW3354CC教授、博士生导师,副院长。厦门大学本硕博、北京大学博士后。主要从事图论、组合纽结论和数学化学等方面的研究工作,已在包括Adv. Appl. Math.、Eur. J. Comb.、J. Comb. Theory Ser. A、J. Graph Theory,Proceedings of the AMS等国际著名学术期刊在内的国内外学术期刊发表论文70多篇。先后主持国家自然科学基金项目4项、参加重点项目1项和天元基金项目多项。曾应邀在中国组合数学与图论大会、中国数学会年会、第7届亚洲数学大会和第33届国际拓扑及其应用大会等国内外学术会议上做学术报告。长期从事《离散数学》、《图论》、《拓扑学》等课程教学工作,主持国家级教改课题1项,参加重点课题1项,主持省级一流课程1门。曾获宝钢优秀教师奖、国家教学成果二等奖、福建省教学成果奖特等奖(2项)和一等奖、厦门大学田昭武学科交叉奖一等奖(课题负责人)、首届刘晓数理电子科学奖突破贡献奖(团队负责人)等。
